Marie V. Oswald

Keansburg - Marie V. Oswald of Keansburg passed away at home on November 6, 2021. Born in Belford, Marie graduated from Middletown Township High School, Leonardo, in 1950. She was employed by Fort Monmouth; Hercules Powder Company, San Francisco; American Embassy, Bonn, Germany; General Dynamics, Tinton Falls and lastly started her own company in 1983 as an independent representative.

Marie was a devoted Aunt, sister and friend. She was known as "Aunt Marie" to the many that knew and loved her. She loved traveling, exercise, gardening and dancing.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert R. and Ann Oswald; and her brothers and sisters-in law, Albert D. and Margaret Oswald, and John J. and Shirley Oswald, all of Belford.

She is survived by her nieces, Catherine Read and her husband, John of Middletown, Elizabeth and Patricia Oswald of Belford and her nephew, Albert D. of Minersville, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Posten-McGinley Funeral Home, 59 East Lincoln Avenue, Atlantic Highlands. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine Laboure Church, East Keansburg. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary Mother of God Church's Building Fund, New Monmouth, New Jersey.
