Douglas E. Mallen, 58, of Tinton Falls entered into eternal life on February 4, 2021, after
a brief illness. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary A. Mallen, and his father,
Howard A. Mallen.
Doug was born on October 17, 1962, and lived in Navesink before moving to Tinton
Falls in 1990. He studied at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and earned his
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Brookdale Community College. He
was employed as an Electronic Technician by the United States Postal Service, Trenton
Processing & Distribution Center. Doug received numerous awards and certifications during his 28-year career.
Doug will always be remembered for his mild manner, kindness, and generosity to others.
He was loved by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.
Surviving are his loving brother and sister-in-law, William H. and Linda L. Mallen, his
dear niece, Kimberly L. Foor and her husband, Jimmy, and his beloved grandnephews,
Parker and Preston, who were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his cousins,
Bridget and Gregory Trapanese, Theresa Levy, Helen Marchetti, Jeffrey Arnseth &
family.
