Obituary of Clara Rose Bruno
Clara Rose Bruno, 82, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Cousin passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021.
Clara was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Rocco and Rose Regina who immigrated here from Bari, Italy. She moved to Staten Island, NY as a teenager, where after she graduated from New Dorp High School was employed as an assistant office manager for Bohack Food Farms, Inc. Here she met the love of her life, Saverio Bruno, and married him 54 years ago. Together they raised four children and were blessed with nine grandchildren. In 2013, Clara settled in Lincroft, NJ to be closer to her children.
Family was Clara’s most prized possession and she was so proud of all her grandchildren; she lived her life for them. She always enjoyed having family and friend gatherings at her home. Clara loved cooking Sunday dinners for her family.
Clara is survived by her devoted and loving husband Saverio Bruno; son Louis and wife Francine; daughters, Maria Hicks and husband Joe; Rosebeth Curtis and husband Edward; Theresa Buono and husband Jack; adoring grandchildren: Kristina and Daniella Curtis; Louis and Brianna Bruno; Cali and Samantha Hicks; Jack and Avery Buono.
She is also survived by brothers, Marino and Anthony Regina and many cousins as well as brothers and sisters-in-law; she was predeceased by her brothers Angelo and Rocco Regina and her grandson Vincent Saverio Bruno.
The family is planning a private funeral home service; however, family and friends are welcome to attend a funeral mass on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 10:15 AM at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church in Lincroft, NJ. Burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Red Bank, NJ.
All COVID-19 protocol must be observed, including masks and social distancing.
