Anne Holt Dabney, 61, passed away on December 9th, 2020 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Stephen F. Dabney. They shared 35 years of marriage together after meeting on a train from DC to Williamsburg, falling in love, and traveling across the country to see each other.
Born in Rahway, NJ, Anne was the daughter of James T. Holt and Alexandra "Sandy" Holt. She attended Rahway High School where she was on the swim team. This was extremely notable as they did not have a women's swim team. She then attended Katherine Gibbs All Womens College in Boston. During her life Anne worked for many law partners starting at Willkie, Farr & Gallagher, as well as partners Ruprecht & Hart and Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer.
Anne enjoyed time with her family, her dog, and her friends. She loved going to the beach, reading a good murder mystery, cooking gourmet meals, making others laugh, and the perfect shade of red lipstick. Until the end of her time, Anne was always extremely well dressed and accessorized. She will always be remembered as a kind, loving, caring, intelligent, funny, and most importantly strong woman who certainly fought bravely until the very end.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, her son James and his fiance’ Lynne, daughter Tyler, her newly born granddaughter, Addilynn, and her dog, Hazel. Anne is also survived by her beloved twin brother Michael, her brother Scott and her father James. She was predeceased by her mother, Alexandra and her sister, Allison.
