Evelyn Frances Griffin..a Beautiful caring woman had just turned 72. She was born and raised in Brooklyn New York but most recently lived and loved in the Highlands New Jersey. She was an executive secretary at WR Grace in New York City for 21 years. The destructive forces of Multiple Sclerosis..diagnosed at 29 years old challenged her daily existence. For the better part of 24 years, the Angels at Care 1 at King James became part of her family. Evelyn passed away on October 13th on her journey to heaven surrounded by the Ascend Hospice and Care 1 staff. Evelyn is survived by her sisters Eleanor Flood ( Mike), and Margaret Serletic, and brother Gregory Griffin. Godson Michael and his wife Kim, Goddaughter Elizabeth and her husband Noah their children, her former Husband Paul and his sisters Patti (Jim) and Kathy. Evelyn was predeceased by her brother Michael. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Highlands NJ on Thursday at 10 am. Internment of Ashes to follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
