Sandra Catherine Furey (nee Tyrrell) left this world peacefully on the morning of

May 20th.

Born October 14th, 1943 in Jersey City to Sophia (Sally) & Thomas Tyrrell, Sandy

grew up in Highlands and graduated from Atlantic Highlands High School. She

was pre~deceased by her parents & Austin Furey, her beloved husband of 57

years.

Sandy was a deeply creative soul. She was talented at self taught needle work,

sewing, knitting and crocheting beautiful things she then gave to family and

friends. She enjoyed many different crafts & was a master gardener.

Being a Highlands girl, she loved salt water swimming, fishing & boating. She

read a book a week & enjoyed a Bingo scratch-off lottery ticket now & then.

Sandra was above all thoughtful & kind, and known for her honest opinion. She

considered her greatest achievement giving birth to her 3 beloved daughters,

Colleen, Danielle & Sabrina.

Sandra is survived by her daughters & their spouses Colleen & Michael Flynn,

Danielle Furey & Sabrina & Charlie McCague.

Adored grandchildren Michael, Rebecca (Ryan Totman) & Cullen Flynn. Her

great grand daughter Hazel Totman. Her brother & sister in law Thomas & Mary

Ellen Tyrrell. Her in-laws Marguerite (Sissy) O’Neil, Janet Furey, & Kenneth &

Mary Ellen Furey. Cherished nieces & nephews Tara, Meredith, Ricky, Billy,

Patrick, Elizabeth, Priscilla, Robby, Shannon, Tonya & their spouses & children.

Her honorary daughter Jeanette (Jan) O’Reilly and bonus grandkids Aoife, Aidan

& Grainne McCague.

Sandy was a cherished wife, loving mother, aunt & friend. She HAD A BLAST and

did it “Her Way!” We will miss her so much.
