Obituary of Mary Anne Roth
Mary Anne Roth passed away on December 17, 2023 at her home in Highlands, NJ at the age of 75. Mary Anne was born in Ozone Park, NY and raised in Massapequa, NY and Franklin, NJ. She lived with her family in West Windsor, NJ before returning to the seaside calm of her childhood, this time landing at the Jersey Shore. She graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in sociology and worked in the alumni relations department while pursuing her studies. She was later employed by Prime Media for 15 years in Plainsboro, NJ. She loved cooking and is known for having an impressive garden which sparked many meals shared with family, laughter, and a nice bottle of wine. She was an avid reader and continued her love of learning throughout life. Most of all, she was a woman who was vibrant, full of life, and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Roth of Highlands; three children, Megan Struble (Dwayne Struble), Mary Elizabeth Spiro (Jason Spiro) and Victoria Roth (Debro Kent Jr); one sister, Margaret Thau and her husband Richard of Toms River, NJ, three brothers, Joseph McAuley and his wife Patricia of San Francisco, CA, Charles McAuley III and his wife Deborah of Robbinsville, NJ and Gerard McAuley and his wife Lori of Petaluma, CA; five grandchildren, Colin Schmitt, Theodore Spiro, Marlee Spiro, Moira Struble and Maxwell Spiro as well as many other nieces and nephews who she cared deeply for. A Memorial gathering will take place on Friday from 930am to 1130am at Posten McGinley Funeral Home 59 E Lincoln Ave, Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716..followed by a Memorial Mass at St Agnes RC Church in Atlantic Highlands at 12pm Noon.
