John B. Graybill III passed away January 5, 2023. 

He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1930. He attended Franklin & Marshall College and did his graduate work at Columbia University. John served in the US Navy and did service aboard the DM-33. He retired with the rank of lieutenant which he received in 1956. John, nicknamed Jack, started his teaching career in New Jersey where he settled in Monmouth County, living in Middletown, Rumson, Fair Haven, Shrewsbury, and Highlands throughout his lifetime. He taught history for over 30 years in public and private schools, and colleges. Most of his career was spent teaching in the Fair Haven School District. 

Jack had many interests and hobbies. He loved to ride his bicycle. He would often be seen riding his bike in the towns he lived as well as biking trips across many of the US states. He also enjoyed hiking and had several experiences climbing to peaks around the world. Jack and his wife Letty traveled the globe sharing many exciting adventures together during their 54 years of marriage. Jack has three published books: The Monster Gets a Hug and a Kiss, Compleet Bear, and The Princess Kristin: A Tale of Love, Loyalty and High Adventure. Jack enjoyed a good movie, a play, opera, musical, or a baseball game. 

Jack was predeceased by his parents Helen and John B Graybill Jr and his wife Letitia. He is survived by his daughter Kristen (Kelty), son in law James, and grandchildren Olivia and Owen of Middletown.
