Jeanne T. Corey Obituary

Jeanne T Corey (nee Butler) passed away due to complications from neuroendocrine cancer. Jeanne fought valiantly for 2 ½ years. Jeanne is a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Jeanne is a person of faith teaching CCD for many years. Jeanne was an elementary school teacher at Keansburg Bd. of Ed. teaching first and second grade from where she retired after 29 years of service. Jeanne attended and graduated from St. Agnes Elementary School, Mater Dei High School ‘86, Towson State University ’90 and received her master’s degree in Literacy from Waldon University.


Jeanne is pre-deceased by her father John, father-in-law Ronald, sister-in-law Lisa, her grandparents Harry & Catherine Keen, Paul & Catherine Butler, Aunts and Uncles Lenny (Irene) Butler, Harry (Mildred) Keen, Tim Keen, Mary (Lazar Saint Maria), Fritz Hillmann and Christine Keen; Jeanne’s God Father Fritzie Hillmann, and Cousin Raymond Borke.


Jeanne is survived by her husband Vincent, sons Nicholas & Timothy, Mother Jean Butler, siblings Mark, Matthew (Andrea), Annmarie (Joe Horan), Catherine (Mark Ziemba), John Paul (Barbara), Eileen (Paul Bolognese), and Rose (Jorge Gana) and in-laws Barbara, Liz (Rich Hespe), Michael (Ed), Ron (Lillian), Steve (Michele), Kate (Ken Faaland) and Chris (Jeannine).


The family will receive visitors on Tuesday at Posten McGinley Funeral Home located at 59 East. Lincoln Ave., Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716. On Wednesday morning, a Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Agnes Church located on Center Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716. Internment to follow at Fairview Cemetery located in Middletown, NJ 07748.
