David B. Martinez age 71 of Leonardo, New Jersey passed away peacefully on February 4 th
2022, surrounded by his family.
Dave was predeceased by his mother Margaret; his father Allan; his sister Patricia and brother
Richard.
His is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Marie (Fisher) Martinez, his brother Neil and wife
Trudi Martinez; sisters Nancy (Martinez) Best and Margaret (Martinez) Rapone; Also Janet
Coleman; Linda and Doug Krampert; Albert and Sharon Fisher; Cathy Fisher; Florence and
Thomas Mcloughlin along with many nieces and nephews.
Dave was born in Hackensack, New Jersey reside in Jersey City and then moved to Atlantic
Highlands in 1966. He graduated from Henry Hudson Regional School in 1970. Dave served in
the Army Reservist from 1970 to 1976. After the service he meet his sweetheart Marie and they
married in 1982. Dave and Marie moved to Leonardo in 1992.
Dave loved his family (especially his nieces and nephews). He enjoyed fishing, reading military
history books and puttering in his yard.
A celebration of life will be held Friday February 25, 2022 from 7-9 at Posten-McGinley Funeral
Home, 59 E. Lincoln Avenue, Atlantic Highlands.
A mass will be held on Saturday February 26 at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Center Avenue,
Atlantic Highlands at 10:00 am.
