Stephen J. Smith, 72, of Atlantic Highlands passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 29,2026.

Survived by his wife of 50 years Maryanne, daughter Natalie Rose and husband Brian Hudzik, son Stephen John and his wife Stefanie. His grandchildren Savannah, Sullivan, Sterling and Sawyer. Brother Edward and wife Carol. Nieces Teresa and Shannon, his Brother In Law Jim Santry and wife Kathleen.

Stephens Memory will live on in Our Hearts.

In his long career, Stephen prided himself on trusted confidants, lifelong friends and colleagues who helped propel him towards success! 

Always an avid fisherman, he dropped his line in the Atlantic, Caribbean,  Gulf of Mexico, ponds and streams around the world in pursuit of "Big Wally" a notorious elusive species... Steve has caught him at last!

Steve leaves behind a legacy of Love, Humor and a Life we'll lived and one of a kind.

A recipient of a successful liver transplant, Steve enjoyed many years filled with special joy and laughter.

A Memorial Service will take place at Posten McGinley Funeral Home on Friday October 2nd from 11 to 2pm.
