Linda S Hartsgrove, 74 years old, passed away peacefully on September 11th 2026 reuniting with her husband Wallace Hartsgrove on their 55th wedding anniversary, surrounded by her family and close friends.

Linda cherished all of her friends and family. Everyone loved Linda.

Linda was born on April 12th, 1952 and a lifelong resident of Highlands. Graduated from Henry Hudson Regional High School in 1970 and then worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at King James for over 30 years. Alongside her husband Wallace, Linda volunteered hand in hand with him with the Highlands Fire Department as a Lady Auxiliary for many years. Linda had a huge heart for her family and friends, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend

Linda and Wally, Wally and Linda, you wouldn't see one without the other. A true package deal for 55 years. Best friends who loved hanging out together either at home or driving around Highlands, they enjoyed camping, going to Wildwood, and being with friends.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Wallace and her beloved daughter Brenda. Linda is survived by her daughters Janis, Krista, and Lisa; son in law Pete; grandchildren Dominique, Jade, Griffen, Kallie, Aaron, and Noah; great grandchildren Gabriel, Leo, and Fayelynn. Linda was 1 out of 3 children, brothers Tony White and wife Scoby and Jason Mewes and wife Jordan, and many, many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Linda’s true passion was camping. She loved to go camping with her family and friends, especially making the yearly trip to Knoebels. She enjoyed sitting around the fire pit while her husband and others cooked the Thanksgiving dinner for the campground. For downtime, she would always be reading a book and going to the summertime beach concerts at Sandy Hook with the family.
