Highlands - It is with great sadness that the Teeple family announces that Francis “Frank” Teeple, 85, of Highlands, NJ entered into eternal life on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Artis Senior Living, Eatontown, NJ.
Born in Carbondale, PA, Frank left Northeast PA after college to become a history teacher at Henry Hudson Regional High School in 1962 (where he met his future wife). After a few years in Atlantic Highlands and marrying the love of his life, Judy, they settled in Highlands in 1966, where they built a life and raised four children.
In 1972, Frank became a guidance counselor at Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver NJ, where he worked until his retirement in 2002.
Anyone who knew him knows that Frank never met a stranger. He seemed to know someone everywhere he went. Frank was involved in numerous organizations and projects. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and a eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church. For years he was a proud member of the Henry Hudson Regional Board of Education and other local organizations. He was always willing to step up and lend a hand when needed in his community. At Christmastime, you could find him dressed as Santa visiting schools.
Even with all his commitments, Frank always managed to get home to make dinner for his family and to support his kids in their various endeavors.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Judith Teeple, in 2017. They were married on May 23, 1964, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
He was also preceded in death by his parents Michael and Thresia Teeple and his brothers and sisters: Joseph, Margaret, Mary, John, Michael and James Teeple and Elizabeth McAndrew. He is survived by his children: Terry Weaver and son-in-law Kevin, Susan Helm and son-in-law Timothy, Andrew Teeple and daughter-in-law Angela, and Amy Teeple and daughter-in-law Anna. He is also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Artis Senior Living ofEatontown for their loving care and friendship to our father.
