Alfred H. Pitts Sr. was born in Middletown, NJ to the late Alfred U. Sr. and Estelle Treadway Pitts. He attended the Middletown School system and went on to attend Albright College.  

Uncle Al as we affectionately call him, joined the military November 1962 and became a Radio Operator where he served two tours with the United States Army, gaining the rank of Sergeant and was later honorably discharged.  He would go on to work as a telephone operator in Washington D.C and began a career in communication and specializing in fiber optics for Verizon.

He is predeceased by his sister Estelle M. Pitts, his brother Michael C. Pitts and he is survived by his daughter Paige Pitts, his son Alfred H. Pitts Jr, and his brother Alfred U.  Jr and a host of nieces/nephews.
