John Galatro, born on December 2, 1943, in Red Bank, NJ, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2025, in Red Bank, NJ. John was a volunteer firefighter for the Liberty Fire Department in Red Bank and a prominent figure in his community. Alongside his father, he ran the family business, The Marine Bar, and later owned and operated John Galatro General Contracting.

John was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Kathleen Galatro. He leaves behind his significant other, Patricia Parsell, his brother Peter Galatro and his wife Karen, his sons Jed and Mark, and Mark's wife Leah of Virginia, step daughter Molly and her husband Jim, and his beloved grandchildren Dylan, Ava, Gianna, Foster, Logan, Grace, Finley, and James. John is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He cherished his home in Fair Haven, which he restored single-handedly, and found joy in tinkering in his garage, planting in his garden and spending quality time with his family. John and Trish enjoyed going to the beach together, traveling and going to dinner at their favorite spot, Val’s Tavern. John had a passion for visiting Monmouth Park Racetrack and was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees and Chicago Bears.

Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service for John at Posten-McGinley Funeral Home, on Monday March 3 from 4-6 in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

John will be remembered for his dedication, love for his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his life. May he rest in peace.
